I don't know, it seems like you know more about it than I do! Still, if the price is right, I'd go for it. Couldn't hurt, right?megamaced said:Linux+ seems like a good introduction to the Linux world. Much like A+ is a good introduction to Microsoft MCSE. Would you agree?

Sounds like a steal, I'd go for it. Like I said, it couldn't hurt, unless you want to work for some low-level firm reformatting Windows boxen all day or removing spyware like a "Geek Squad" drone. In that case, certifications make you look too, you know, competent, which makes you overqualified for such a job. They don't want to pay much! But since I suspect you are aspiring to more than that, I'd say go for it! ;)megamaced said:... I will be self studying in my spare time. The book was about £18 and the exam roughly £115, so I guess it's worth it!
The number one cert I've been asked for and indeed the one which seems to demand the most actual skill is the RHCE. If you can afford to persue it, I'd go that route. The LPI certs are more specialized, but also very involved and say a lot on a resume. I would look into those also, if you can.ProcalX said:...AT what do you think would be a good qualification to get with my knowledge?
