Windows XP Security Guide Great guide there Megamaced.... Regarding the Recovery Console A Problem i'm getting is that when i try this it I get a Stop error.. "Setup cannot continue because the version of Windows on your computer is newer than the version on the CD." My Win XP CD is before SP1 I think, but my current installation has SP2 plus a load more updates since the disc was produced... Did a search for winnt32.exe on my C:\ (inc system & hidden files) and closest I got was WINNT32.EXE-2CC9F0A3.pf file... Any Ideas?
Windows XP Security Guide I've come across this before. The reason it won't work is because you have installed Service Pack 2. There are two things you can do to amend this: 1) Obtain a Windows XP SP2 CD. 2) Merge Service Pack 2 with your current Installation CD. You will need a CD Writer for this.
