my dads computer fried. and he turned to me for help all i was wondering was if he just gets a new mobo will he be able to just reinstall windows and not have to buy a new copy of the os?
if it is a branded pc and the os disc is brought to you by the brand, it may be locked not to work with other computers so you may have to buy a new one but if it is not or you bought it yourself, you won't have to get a new one
