This seems like quite the steal, is it? Radeon X800 XL
There must be something up as it's less than $300, yet uses GDDR3, and has 16 pipelines?

Nice find, probably should go in the Bargain Zone though.

"One Day Sale, Ends 3/29/2005 5:30 PM PST"

    That's why it's "cheap". :p

I moved 'er where she belongs, I put it here first to see what you guys (and Nic) thought of it, that is, was it too cheap to be good? I picked the cheapest one but there's only about a $10 difference between the one you looked at and the next one. It's still under $300, wish I bought this one instead of the 6800 (not enough vram).

instead of gettin the XL u can get the Ati radeon pro n make it work like an X800XT Platinum, go to (find.pcworld.com/46432) and read about this hack, idk i think its quite worth saving the money.

That's pretty cool dude, makes sense as board really isn't too different. Still, it's a risk like all hacks, but as you said, it saves money.

x800xl is a real nice card. Thanks to ATI's 100 dollar price cut, it offers near 6800gt performace for 100 bucks less. A lot to like there if you don't plan to go SLI.
