    Hi!

This is a brainstorming-like thread. So, everyone's very much encouraged to speak out freely.

Sometime in the future (a year or so), I'll be getting a new computer. Now, I've been thinking that a desktop is not the way to go as I like to think that I have overgrown the desire to sit at a big screen and play games all night (i.e. not to push for performance). So, I turn my attention to laptops. I mean, decent laptops. What I mean by "decent" is - a laptop which is capable of HD multimedia and some casual time-to-time gaming (should be able to run titles like Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 on medium, Starcraft 2, older titles at med to high @ normal FPSes). Please note here, that size (as well as battery lifetime) is not really an issue here - laptops with numpads are OK, too. And all that for far less than a fortune :D .

So, I was thinking something like this:
    HDD: 0.5 - 1 TB
CPU: some 2x,3x,4x core cpu @ 2.x ghz per core
    RAM: min 4GB, preferred DDR3
VGA: 9x geforce or one of the new GT1x ones

Jup, that's something I had to write down (and get rid of it :D ).
