Im going to be building a system. I DO NOT plan on ever using dialup, i will always use an external modem for broadband. All i need to install is an ethernet card right? Is an internal modem necessary?
nope not needed, but I'd keep one as backup for whenever broadband goes down so you can check up to see whats happened.
...And if you've got built-in ethernet, you don't need to buy a NIC. It's pretty much a standard feature on motherboards these days.
