You can put your router's IP Address on your DNS server address or alternatively you can use OpenDNS Servers.

Change your DNS settings to the OpenDNS servers:
* 208.67.222.222
* 208.67.220.220

You can set it to DHCP, then see what DNS IPs are used, then use them for static. However, its probably easier just to put your router IP.

Hello !!!! My dear friend, When ur using ur system by stand alone there is no need to think about DNS Server settings. DNS settings are ment ownly to the cleint server architeture. if ur having Server and if ur IP Address is automatically updated by DHCP , Then u need to give the ip address of the DHCP server as wel as the Domain Naming Server.

Yeah but even in a standalone system, you still need to fill up the DNS server settings if your setting a static IP on it. Without that, there will be no DNS resolution, no internet browsing. He can easily put the IP of his router. The router stands as his DHCP server.
