Gaming Build advice/suggestions...

Hey guys, totally new to this forum, was hoping you could help me with this build I'm piecing together.... It will mainly be a gaming computer, skyrim, cod mw3, diablo 3(eventually), etc. I don't plan to oc right now, but I do plan to in the future after I get a bit more experience under my belt.
I already have a case (Corsair 600t white), and budget-wise I'm looking around $1500-1700ish.

Well, if your just gonna be doing gaming and small editing you don't the 2600k, the 2500k will be more than enough. Also once you plan to do some OCing you're going to need a Mobo with at least 8 power phases. As for the RAM you don't need 1866MHz there really isn't any performance increase past the 1600MHz. Also curious why you decided to go with watercooling your CPU? Unless you plan on doing some serious overclocking you will be fine with a nice air CPU cooler. Ill price one out for you by the end of the night if you'd like.
 
Cool, I really like that build you made. But I do have a few questions... The power phases you mentioned, any chance you could explain that to me in 'laymans' terms...? Is it voltage regulation? I may have misunderstood another site talking about it... and I noticed you picked out two gpu's. I'm sure they're better using SLI than the twin frozr by it self right? and also about the mobo, was thae main difference between the two just the power phases?? Thanks for any other info you may have!
 
Basically the more power phases the better regulated the voltage to you CPU will be. The main reason why you're going to want a motherboard with at least 8 power phases is if you are planning to do some OCing if not you could go with a cheaper mobo and only have to grab the core i5 2500 or 2400. Also the P67 chipset is basically designed for gamers and people that are looking to OC, if you aren't planning to OC you could go with a Z68 chipset but I would still recommend the P67.
And yes the dual GTX 560 ti will do wonders in this build. Sli GTX 560 ti's will outperform the GTX 580 in many games and benchmarks.
