Gigabyte GA-K8U versus MSI K8N Neo

My girlfriend goes to PC Shop today and when she came home she give me a box a brand new Gigabyte motherboard and she say to me put it in instead of this MSI mobo you have.But i am not sure wich of them will be better chipset diffrent.Please give me some hints and let me hear your choice.

With out a doubt, stick with the MSI K8N Neo. A much better board than the Gigabyte. Gigabyte are of good build quality, but they don't provide the same performance for value as almost any other brand.

Stay with the K8N Neo, take the board back and buy your girlfriend something nice like a puppy for her to play with that she will understand :)
 
The Gigabyte is using a ULi chipset, whereas the MSI is using an nForce 3 chipset. Windows tends to have a fit when you switch the storage controller out from under it. ULi chipsets are pretty good from what I hear, but unless you're having trouble with the K8N, I can't see any good reason to swap the boards.
 
I have own lots of msi motherboards since amd 133 until today in 64 bit and all of them always run preety hot in cpu temp like the old k7 i have before always hot until i change it to gigabyt then i saw a lot less heat on cpu.
 
He He now i can tell you that i have put the GB mobo to the case and plug all in and all starts normally and the temp of cpu is now around 30°c in idle and after hl2 itis around 37°c so i am a quiet happier with this mobothen this msi trash mobo and i say it again i have been with msi before and often have a heatproblem with them.:eek:
 
Umm...yeah, the temp sensors on motherboards aren't the most accurate. If that's the only thing you can see as a problem and want to ditch a motherboard for that reason, you're going to be very disappointed with pretty much every company out there.
 
i have a temp sensor that is wired under the cpu and show a temp on a display on the front of case.And this sensor show me wery accurate temp and when i start hardware monitor from gigabyte it show the same so the tempsensor under the middle of cpu socket is alraight also.And i see better perfomance with this mobo then this MSI.:eek:
