I'm getting this GIGABYTE GV-NX88T512HPV1 GeForce 8800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail Overclocked at 700MHz soon from Newegg and am a little confused as to which software to us to OC this thing. Yes it comes OC'd but you can squeze a little more out of it.

Do I use the Gamer HUD from Gigabyte or the one from Nvidia Riva Tuner? I have use neither as yet, this will be my first PCI-e 2.0 express card. Would one have more options than the other, interms of OC'ing?

I also have on order heat sinks for the mem chips, Thermaltake CL-C0025 RAM Heatsink

    Nerwbuild:

    Abit IP35 Pro, G6600, 4x 1gb Cosair XMS DDR2-800 PC2-6400, GIGABYTE 8800GT 512mb, 1x WD Raptor 74gb 10k, 2x Wd SE16 500gb, 1x WD 80gb Backup using HotSwap iStarUSA 1x 5.25" Bay Audio SATA2.0 Removable Hard Drive Rack, PC&C 610w PS, existing CM Stacker Case, NEC 3550A DVDr/rw, Lite-On 20A4P DVDr/rw

Any more, most cards do come with some sort of overclocking software. Riva Tuner is fairly light weight as is ATi Tool (which you can use to OC nVidia cards). There's also the Cool Bits hack, which involves a registry edit (you just click on a registry file that adds the stuff in) and gives you OC capabilities within your nVidia control panel.
