hard disk

    when i start my computer its works well but after some time hard disk is not read by the system,when i open the resource monitor i found hard disk read is 0 mb/s.i dont under stand where is problem some one help me.

    A little more info please... Like What OS are you running ? Any Errors ? have you tried running scandisk ?

    i am using windows 7.
    its run gud for few mintues stop working due to hard disk is not read by the os.

    How old is this computer ? Again ! have run scandisk ? It sounds like your hard drive is going OUT...

    its 3 year old,intel dg35ec board and intel core 2 duo 2.93 ghz.hardisk is seagate 500gb its new hard disk and after changing hardisk i facing same problem.
    i make bootable pendrive of ubuntu and runs its without intalling and used my system 3-4 hours it runs fine with out problem using pendrive.
    can explain me where is problem

    I would try another hard drive, But Not a Seagate... Try a Western Digital... Or Maxtor..

    i tried with another western digital hardisk but problem is same.

    If this Problem does the same on another hard drive, then sounds like you have a Hardware Problem some where else... You will have to narrow it down...
    Check your cables or change them, Check PSU .... Check ram then check Motherboard...

    i replace my computer sata cable and smps also as well as hard disk but problem is same, if am using usb hardisk with a os their is no problem it runs well,so any one tell me its board problem or proceesor problem?????

    Can you try an IDE ribbon cable and a IDE Hard drive ??

    sir i have only sata hard drive i use them. when am running same system using usb drive no problem came. but while i use internal hard drive after some time this problem came

    Have you tried checking for any bad sectors on the hard disk that you have. If not then please check it maybe its the one causing you problems or you can also do full disk scan to search for viruses that may have caused the problem...

    sounds like a motherboard problem..
