hello everyone i am new to this site so if i post this in the wrong section i am sorry i got a new computer 5 months ago and is a gigabyte P15F R5 15.6in Gaming Notebook. it has a 1tb hard disk which has stopped working. i did nothing to it all i did was reset it an it stopped working. i am not sure if it is broken or it has been undetected some how pleas help.
In your Gaming Notebook there is an M2 SATA SSD installed which means that less power consume, less heat and also silent in the operation. Check the System BIOS and findout that how many bootable hardware devices are available. Select your 1TB Hard Drive and then re-start the machine.
Check the BIOS If the drive is detected then check if partitions are intact. Also please provide a screenshot of the error screen if the drive is formatted you can recover the data through a partition software
Here is what you can do: 1. Boot up into BIOS and check if your hard drive is present in the devices. If it is present make sure it is is set as a primary boot device. Save your new settings and restart the machine. The drive should boot now, if there isn't any issues with the MFT. 2. Find an enclosure and try connecting the drive to a different machine. If the drive detects by the system, then there might be a problem with a boot sector hence why you cannot boot into your operating system. 3. Read up on some articles online on undetected or unresponsive hard drives, there are plenty of great sources, Google will be of much help. 3. If you are planning to recover your data, you can use some trial data recovery software programs, that do not restrict you by any way. Once again do a Google search and you will find plenty of great tools. 3. If nothing mentioned above helped your situation, then you might want to seek professional assistance. But do your research first just to make sure you do not give your hard disk into to the wrong hands.
