well on my computer it wont read computer games or dvds. nothing pops up like it should and when i go to my computer and double click on drive D it just says Drive D:// not accessible. How can I get games and movies to work on it now? hah: Please help
Right click My Computer>Properties>Hardware>Device Manager and find your disc drive. The right click it>uninstall. You can use device manager to "scan for hardware changes". Its a small button near the toolbar and let windows reinstall it.
If the drive doesn't work with any media, check for "upper and lower filters" in the registry: CD-ROM access is missing...
It just might be time for a new disc drive if nothing else works. Installing one of these is not really a problem and they are not too expensive
