Our office sent a HP Color Laserjet 2500N to the shop for repair. The tech working on it wants to replace parts in the following order (HP recommended):

    1. Low voltage PS ($152.10) + 3 hours labor ($50/hour) = $334.00
    2. High voltage PS ($184.60) + 3 hours labor ($50/hour) = $302.00
    3. Sub-high voltage PS ($26) + 3 hours labor ($50/hour) = $176.00

Depending on the problem, it could cost more than $800 to fix.

I would like to know if it is easy to determine exactly which PS is bad, and just replace that one.

Can one of you smart guys help me out?
