IDE round cable question

    What is a good brand of IDE round cables and what is a good length for a mid size tower about 19inches tall. PLease help if you can.

    I've had good luck with Sunbeam and Mutant Cables, but pretty much anything should be ok.

    Actually if you wanted to you can even do it yourself, just need a knife and either some heatshrink or split loom. BigB did an article up a while ago you can read here..

    Yeah, that's what I'd try first. IDE cables are 18" as far as standards go. Some SFF systems (like the Shuttle XPC's) have much shorter IDE cable lengths. Unless you happen to have the odd motherboard with the IDE ports way way down at the bottom and parallel to the expansion slots, this shouldn't be a problem with your case.
