Internet gets disconnected on my pc in Standby mode

Hello Friends,
My pc gets disconnected of the internet if I put it to standby mode I instantly get disconnected and i have to restart my pc in order to get my internet connection back.I am using broadband and i am using windows 7 operating system.
Please help me!

Go to Device manager, and view the properties of your Network Controller. On the Advanced tab, untick the box that says the system can shutdown this device to save power.
