Just a big thank you to all!

Big Geek
Well, when I first joined HWF, I had never seen the inside of a PC. Thanks to all the great help and advice I have had and the knowledge I've gleaned from reading through the threads - I have just finished building a low spec PC for an elderly neighbour who was rather short on cash, so the PC had to be fairly low key due to his budget. He can barely get out of the house these days due to poor health, but he loves computers and surfing the net, so now he's 'got the world at his finger tips' in his own home.

Anyway, the PC works great and the neighbour is very pleased. I never thought I'd see the day when I would build a computer - but, hey, I did it!

Once again, thanks for all your wonderful help since I joined - I could not have done it without you! HWF rocks!!!

hey, you've pinched my idea, but i forgive you, thankfully

1 piece of advise - don't thank individuals in general chat as you always forget someone[ot]i've made that mistake before[/ot]

i'm also very thankful to everybody who helped me, however, i'm just a disabled bloke at home with a stupid & annoying memory, it's amazing i've leart so much on HWF - BIG thankies

You get a lot of satisfaction when you build your first computer, turn it on and those fans start up. Well done.

[ot]5000th post, hehe[/ot]

Yes, you sure do! Congrats on your 5000th post - I don't think I'll ever catch up. :(

But at the same time, being thanked by name (or mentioned in a thanks) always reminds me why I'm here (even when someone just uses the thanks button on a post that I've put a decent amount of effort into it makes it definitely makes it worth it).

BTW: how many socks can you fit in a fridge

how do you get a giraffe in the fridge?
presumably no folding is allowed, in which case i'd take a chain saw to it, that'll fix it permanently & it'll fit in a fridge

BTW: how many tins of glue can you make out of 3 horses
