We all have our favorite games, but I'm sure we have ones that we thought sucked.

The worst game I have ever played is Revolution. It's a first person shooter by Activision's Value line and based on the Quake 3 engine (I think). Had a lot of promise. Unfortunately, it was dull, had the wussiest enemies, and an over abundance of ammo.

2nd worst game I've played was Return to Castle Wolfenstein. I payed for a single player game. It was neat, but way to short, and the boss wasn't the hardest thing I've fought. If you advertise a game as a single-player, first person shooter, please deliver that. I don't have a problem with multiplayer, but if that's half of what the game package is, I'd like it to be marketed as that.
 
well, the first time i played Simcity, I thought it was prob the worst game I played, because of its cartoonish graphics, that a few years back though :) so I can't say what I think of the current version, even though the screenshots look quite good.
 
Hmm well I thought Black and White pretty much sucked imho I thought it was great due to all the reviews but I played it untill the second island and I got bored by it cause It had to built so much(my enemy was destroying everything!! lol)
But I never really liked RPG games anyway (although diablo 2 was fun)

Simcity lol I liked it when it was something like 1994 but now its so boring for me :p

I kinda liked RTCW singeplayer but true it was to easy I remeber that I cud play it long time withou dieing once

I expected Vampire: the Masquerade to be a cool game since I never played vampire games but it sucked 2 :(

I'm sure i've played ALOT more games that really sucked but cuze they were boring I forgot them ;)
 
i have to say that black and white was one of the most overhyped and most disapointing games i have ever played.
i sold it after a couple of days after buying it.
 
well nhl 2003 is just too easy. you play a couple of games at difficult and then find it difficult(!) to lose with anaheim against any team, and I'm not talking about the poor trading system(being able to trade mike leclerc against vincent lecavalier is somewhat odd).

X-Wing vs. Tie fighter is in the same line as the two last star wars movies : big jokes. there is no campaign whatsoever, and the missions are taken from both X-Wing and Tie Fighter (which were both great games in my opinion).

Dragon'S lair......I don't know if any of you have ever played this but here's the way it goes. There's a scene, and you have to push one button at an exact time in order not to die. (let's say you're a knight and have to cross a bridge to enter the castle before the dragon kills you : the purpose would be to press the button to avoid the flames)
the thing is you don't even control the character, it's like a movie and if you don'T push the button you die, if you push it correctly (1 chance in a million) you get to the next scene.

star wars : galactic battlegrounds.....no comments !

there are just as many bad games as there are good ones !
 
Since I voted on Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing in this thread, I suppose I'd say Halo, since it's so overrated. As far as 3D shooters go, it may be impressive to console gamers but to seasoned PC gamers it's just plain sad. Repetitious levels, poor graphics, bad control, weak storyline... it's just blah. Let's face it, the Interplay game Giants, which was released in late 2000, had far superior single and multiplayer play and similar gameplay styles & graphics. Despite its initial bugginess, its varied and interesting gameplay made a much more enjoyable playing experience than Halo, only without all the hype.
 
Currently playing Halo on the xbox, I have to admit its not the best graphics, the controls arent good (on the xbox any way) but still fun to play, though it can get boring!
 
id have to say that my personal worst game ever was black and white: diablo1 and 2(sorry diablo fans), and everquest

Deus Ex: Invisible War was pretty bad too. It had alot of promise, but in the end, the graphics were watered down from what they could've been (it's on par with FarCry with the eye candy turned up, FYI). Add that it ran like crap on the latest hardware (3GHz P4 and Radeon 9800 Pro's having a hard time running 1024x768 smoothly without eye candy).
 
i though deus ex was really bad, in the begining i was like COOL!. but by the end.. i was like...oh,....wooo...hooo.....SNOOORREEEE..... another bad game of all time was pacman, tetris and the all time worst in my opinon=everquest.
 
sorry about the diablo dude, its just not detailed enough compared to lets say, baldurs gate 2(best game ever) where you can kill anything or be anything

^^ all these games are lame in a way that can never be explained..

all supposedly fantastic games, RTCW is just repetative and boring, and doesnt actually feel like ur playing a WW2 game at all.

Halo as mentioned, has rubbish graphics, a terrible story line. But none the less can pass time on the Xbox.

EverQuest i played once and thought it was shit.

Breed is like Halo, but worse.


how can you say the original "Sim City" was a lame game, its a bloody fantastic game.. you have to keep an open mind and remind your self what context your going to "base" it being a lame game..

at the general time of it's release, it was a very good game and a fun one to play on, although v.fustrating at times (keeping ur city alive lol) the end result was always worth it.

compared to similiar games now, yes its crap.. point being at its time it was a very good game..

i still personally think it is a very good game.. but my pc can power much more "graphically realistic games" so i choose not to play it..
