I'm not sure if this should be under Windows section or networking, but here it is: Im working on my brother's very sad windows box. Haven't bothered to check what all the hardware is, but it's all pathetic and i just upgraded them from Windows 98 1st edition to Windows 98 SE. Here's the problem - I'm installing the Linksys etherfast 10/100 card and when select and install the drivers for the card, it next asks for the "Windows 98 SE" cd. So i put the correct disk in and it says it can't find "dc21x4.dos" and "dc21x4.sys". Because I can't find these two files on the stupid cd, the networking card wont work. Any ideas? Freakin irritating... And i can't find the files online to download. :x:
so... I decided that my solution was to convert them to Linux. So if they dont like Linux - oh well for them
