Does anyone have anything to say about this motherboard company ?

I have never heard of them before.

I saw a green kt400 board on ebay with a 2800+ cpu for 70$, thought it was a epox, found out it was a matsonic, I have not bidded on it (which is a good thing).

I do not consider buying from this company in any way, I just want feedback of some sort, out of curiosity.
 
I've heard of them, and they're apparently another brand of the brand PCChips--who also run ECS. Based on experience with PCChips and ECS, I'd say spend your money on a better brand. Personally, I'd rather pay $30-50 more for a motherboard that's not going to give me compatibility problems and not require an expensive power supply to work correctly (a problem with ECS boards). In short, wait for something else. Cheap isn't always a good thing.
 
well I've had a pcchips once and let's just say I'm happy to have a soltek now :)

I associated green with epox, unfortunately that wasn't it !
 
Green and the puke brown/tan color are the two traditional colors. To my knowledge, SuperMicro and Tyan are about the only two major mobo companies that haven't come up with a motherboard outside these two colors. Epox, Asus, Abit, and Iwill typically stick to the traditionals, but have come out with different colored boards. Other companies come with colored PCB's nowadays, especially MSI, Soyo, and Soltek to name a few.

are msi boards pink or more towards red ?
I know pcchips are yellow (I like green better actually)

personnally I think soyo boards look great, whether it's black or platinum.

My soltek is a purple ray, but it's darker than what you see on pictures so it does not look as good as you would think, but it'S still pretty nice.
I have a standard case anyway so I can't see the color of it, but I think it's a good way for mobo companies to do this because they can be recognized by their color, and I don't think it makes it that much more expensive.

I have a abit video card and it's blue, although it's a pretty old one.
 
MSI goes red.

Personally, I like blue, but color coordinating everything is hard since basically Hercules is the only company that consistantly makes blue video cards. However, the show off case I have that has the color coordination attempt on it is based on a metallic teal [/martha stewart mode] so green or blue work well, especially with the green cold cathode I have in that sucker.
