I got my 1gb kit of Corsair memory today (VS1GBKIT400)
I couldn't wait to install it so I take out my Kingston ram and put in the Corsair in slots 1 and 3 and boot......I get the boot screen but it stays there, not counting the memory.
Ok...Let me try slots 2 and 3...still the same.
I try with one stick...it works.
Yeah but I bought two....ah I have an old BIOS, let me download the latest one.
The flash works
I boot and I get this message: "......and pci vendor ids do not match"....wtf ????
I reboot, ah now it works at 166 mhz.
...works at 175 mhz
...works at 185 mhz
...wotks at....no it doesn't work at 195 mhz
I get nothing, no boot screen no nothing so I clear the cmos.
It boots normally
Oh that's right, Corsair likes 2.7V so I set it there, work my way to 200 mhz and it works :D
P.S. I got the CVS as it was less expensive than the KVR
