Hi all first post. I have recently got my notebook back from repair (faulty GPU) and had bought a mobile (O2) broadband modem. It installs and works fine on another notebook and desktop. When I plug the usb lead from the device into my notebook the found new hardware display pops up and the sound of connecting a new device sounds, but this happens about 3 times (as if it is connecting and reconnecting). I have many other usb devices which I have tried on the notebook and these all work fine (no found new hardware display). I can install the device and create the link to o2 on the desktop. But after I enter my pin and click connect it gives an error saying failed to connect. The device seems to disconnect itself. The issue is that I can insall and run it in my virtual machine and everything works fine. When I open my computer I can see the modem in the VM but on the real machine it doesn't show.
