Motherboard problems

I installed a my first motherboard a about 7 mounts ago. Recently I was looking into upgrading my mobo and then I realized my problem. Several of the screws just spin when I try to take them out. The slot its screwed into is spinning to. I took of the other side and saw it spinning. I can get some off, but short of breaking it, does anybody know what to do??

Remove all the ones you can, then take a small pipe wrench and hold down the ones that are giving you trouble and then unscrew the screws.
