Bit of a mindless rant but i'm pissed off....

ARG, I have just spent the most infuriating morning on the phone to tech 'support' at 123-reg.co.uk trying to sort out a clients email after a domain transfer, only used 123reg as I assumed (wrongly) that staying with the same company would save on the headache factor. 2 Hours on hold! No joke and at 10 pence per minute -_- took them over 24 hours to answer a web form enquiry too!

I'll never use them again... ever!

Thought it'd be fun for us all to gather a list of hosting companies we'll never use again and why?

edit: as far as I can see they also don't offer an authenticated smtp server to use when your out and about - extra bad in my book!
 
dreamhost - apparently (i have never used them btw, so i cant really comment) they oversell in a massive way (far to many sites hosted on one machine) and there 'fair use policy' prevents you from using the all bandwidth that is advertised... they might have changed though.
 
Ive bought 6-7 names from 123-reg, luckily ive never had to contact them.

I know its not a hosting company but we had murder with microsoft yesterday.
We opened microsoft office only to be asked to register/authenticate the program which ended up saying its installed on too many computers and we cant use it anymore. We are allowed to install it on 3 computers, we only have it installed on one. The Microsoft response was "sorry, you'll have to buy a new copy!" I think ill just crack it instead!
