Omg I need help with choosing an os -.-

I want to use windows home ed with sp 2, but when i search it in newegg, i get all sorts of results... I dont know what one to choose >.< And how much should a one-time install v of with with a license be? plz help
 
First of all, it would be nice to have some info about your PC.
And what do you mean home ed 2 ? You mean XP Or ? A little more info would help allot.
