I want to connect my pc directly(no routers) to my ps2 using a cat 6 cable. I got the server running on the playstation but when i try to connect using flashfxp i get an error saying there is no route to host. Is there anything i can do?

There's not much of a difference between CAT5/6 and a Crossover cable. It's only a few wires that are arranged differently, but it's necessary for a direct connection.

I'd also make sure that your PC and PS2 are in the same workgroup.

On Win2k and XP the default workgroup is "WORKGROUP" (no quotes). I don't know anything about configuring the PS2 for connection, however the principles should remain the same.

BigB is right in that Windows 2000 has a default workgroup called: "WORKGROUP", however Windows XP has a default workgroup of "MSHOME".

(On all of my XP machines on my network Pro and Home they are all running MSHOME by default)
