PeopleFinders.com - Source of information?

have you every registered any domains or perhaps your facebook profile was public at some point?
 
I'm not exactly sure how they do it, but there's tons of information that you can access on anyone...on or off the Internet...the internet just makes it easier.

For instance if you had a large extensive database of birth records you could find out who your parents were, who their parents were, who their parents were, etc...as far as I know birth records are public unless they've been sealed, as in the case of some adoptions.

Yes, i have FB profile and it was public at one point but i made it private now.

That's scary news.

So companies like peoplefinder.com simply search for random people, or request personal information from other companies?
I mean, i never added my parents name on any website or form and it kills me as to how they got that information.
