i have a new plexwriter 48/24/48A installed but it won't burn a
mp3 file to cd. i have the latest nero installed, updated aspi
layer to several versions(4.06 and later to 4.7...) , updated
the firmware of the writer to the latest, updated VIA4in1 drivers,
updated explorer.

as you can see, upgraded EVERYTHING beside my brain !!

nero will let me erase all data on a CD-Rw disk and it will burn
DATA to a disk. no problems there. so copying a file to the disk is done in a heartbeat. But when i drag a mp3-file to the select section and give the "burn" command, nero analyses the file,
then goes to the "writing to disk"screen and there it freezes !

all i can do then is restart the system, cause the tray won't open
to eject. did i miss anything in updating ????

i send a e-mail to plextor but all the could say was that the writer is probably broke. but my feeling tells me it's a setting or a update that stands in my way.

please help !

I have nero It happened to me once, with my old system because I had too many things running in the background, so try only running nero, or wait for a little while when buring to see if it updates it self? and if it doesnt work try to use a different software...it could work.

Also, had you installed Easy CD Creator on your system before NERO, or any Roxio products (DirectCd for instance) ?

If so, make sure no traces of those are left because sometimes NERO doesn't like it.
