Hello My PC is already outdated, and I'm planning to build a new one, but for now, I just wanted to upgrade my RAM to be able to play some games while I save some money for a new PC. I have a Asus M4A87DT / USB3 motherboard and Im using 2x 2gb Corsair xms3 1600MHz DDR3 But I'm not very good about RAM compatibility, so ... If I got to 4gb RAM (like Corsair Vengeance 4GB 1600Mhz DDR3 CL9 Black - CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9) would it work along my 2x 2gb ram? It is be better if I got it from the same brand (Corsair) right? Theres any better option? Thanks, and sorry for my engllish not being so great. My PC right now: CPU - AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.40 GHz GPU - XFX ATI Radeon HD 5850 1GB DDR5 RAM - 4GB DDR3 Corsair xms3 1600MHz Motherboard - Asus M4A87DT Outdated, but it's still able to run some games ... I was happy to be able to play For Honor without much lag (at 30-40 FPS): D
Three RAM sticks always work worse than two, but still, 4GB should work with your old modules. However new 2*4 GB kit is not very expensive and compatibility is much better.
