Does anyone know of a registry edit key that changes the desktop wallpaper? (not the logon background) It is for an automated app installer.
As far as I can tell it's HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1757981266-1659004503-839522115-1003\Control Panel\Desktop\Wallpaper. The value for that is the same as the place my wallpaper is located. I haven't tried (dared) changing it as I'm not a big fan of the registry and don't trust myself in it.
Would it be stored in the users own directory? It makes sense instead of using the registry for something trivial, but I'm not sure.
