shelf life of ME

    hiya guys, just wondering how long should ME be used on the net (obviously with AV + firewall)
    cos my parents use ME, i've said it should be ok for a couple of month, but the fact is: i don't know

    BTW: their on broadband

    They shouldn't; it hasn't been supported for years. AV won't help I'm afraid.

    It's an incredibly unstable and unreliable system riddled with bugs. I hate it with every ounce of emotion in my body :).

    now, now, calm down[ot]i've done a custom install on my dads[/ot]
    • partition 1 primary boot
    • 2 secondary windows files
    • 3 prog files
    • 4 swap partition
    • 5 user settings
    • 6 data
    • 7 disks
    BTW: both stability & reliability are exellent, but i'll tell them NOT to use it
