shame the UK is years behind, prob 100 years! lol

Softbank this week announced that they'll start offering one gigabyte per second optical broadband for users in Japan, all for around $38 a month. Softbank is the second largest broadband provider in Japan behind Nippon Telegraph and Telephone, who already offer a 100Mbps service for ¥4,500 ($40) a month. There were 1.6 million fiber users in Japan at the end of August 2004, compared to some 12.55 million ADSL users.
