Splicing Wires on a PSU

I have 2 of the same Power Supplies. I want to add 1 more standard 4 pin connection on one PSU for an extra CD drive and am wondering if I can just cut a connection off one PSU and "splice" it onto the other using some of these:

I guess you could, but I'd go for something like this, rather:
