I haven't altered any settings or installed any new software yet 2 days ago the size of the start menu grew to roughly 3 times the width it was before. When i click 'Start' on windows main screen the box that appears stretches more than halfway across the screen instead of the usual little box in the corner. I could surely return it to its normal size if i played around but i have to save the world and dont have the time.
could you please post a screenshot so i ca see exactly what the problem is[ot]after you've saved the world make me a coffee[/ot]
Go to Taskbar and Start Menu Propeties... You can go there by right clicking anywhere on the taskbar and select properties.. Under Start Menu Tab > Click Customize button > Under General Tab Select Small Icons.. If thats not the case then try luking at the Screen Resolution of your computer...
right, ive turned off DEP altogether, The problem with my desktop is that the screen resolution is in 1024 x 768 and the windows menus and taskbars are displaying as 800 x 600 which accounts for the huge boxes across the screen. Anyway to fix this.
