well, i don't know how i did it but i seem to have a Debian / Kubuntu install, /etc/lsb-release says & kernel say debi wheras splash screens & GUI are kubuntu

weirder there are 2 kernels installed and one act like debi (parsing elf) and other act like Kubuntu

    ok, i'm

this "so called" botch doesn't work correctly (apt-get etc.etc.)

anyway i'm going to install dedi cos i can't get my head around jigsaw yet

    BTW: yeah, it is fun

Sounds like a mess. :) Yeah, this will not work right. Theoretically you could have a chroot for one and run it under the kernel for the other, but ideally either virtualization or a multi-boot setup would be better.
