Which DVD writter to go for at decent price?

Just wondering which dvd drivers are best rght now at medium to low budget
I have LG at the moment which really is giving pain :(

I've been happy with Pioneer, and the last time I looked, they were close to $30 @ Newegg.

I have had the Samsung external writer for over a year and it has been working pretty well for me since then. Bought for about $45 dollars then.
