Okay I get this problem with some older games: they are new enough to have a built-in update feature that searches and installs updates, but they cannot understand what broadband internet is, apparently. I always get some kind of error about my connection. Like recently I got this one: "your connection to the Internet is invalid. Please check your settings, and try again." Could this be just because that service is not available anymore for that game? As in, the company died or something? I can't recall anymore but it seems like I've had this problem before with companies that were still alive and well...

Has anyone else had this problem?

May be your firewall stopping these games to access the internet....

Why would it do that? I don't have a software firewall, just a router. Is that really possible?
