Windows BSOD at 1st start of system each time!!

i keep getting BSOD when i power on the system, if i power on the system again, it works fine.

I have windows 8 and windows 7 installed as dual boot.

i know this should be in software help listing, but recently my GPU burnt out. so i have ordered for a replacement. So i thought this might be some hardware problem.

my system specs:
Phenom II X6 1075T
8GB DDR3 RAM
Gigabyte 450W SMPS
MSI 760GM-P21 Motherboard

i recently only bought this mobo and graphics card. i dunno which is faulty. i am afraid, if i put the replaced graphic card, i may have that also burnt...

when i am posting this, my display seemed to have some sort of problem like some driver issues...i restarted and it was ok....

BSOD usually means a hardware problem,So did you replace the video card, if so is it still doing this ? Drivers can also cause this..
 
no, i didn't get my video card yet. this happens with onboard gpu. btw, what you think might have made the card faulty?...is it the SMPS, or is it motherboard pcie slot or the video card ?. how do i find which is faulty?.

And when i used the video card, in photoshop, in any image, some pixels were missing always.
 
Ah, onboard video, Well that's not good.. What Motherboard do you have ? Well the only thing you can do is to try A video card and see if that might work,
But you still might have some problems... It might be your Motherboard going out..
 
my video card replacement is yet to arrive...will a pcie slot problem result in burnt video card??
 
If that port got damage some how, then yes... they do burn out though, I have two Motherboards here with burned out video..
 
how do i test if that slot is problematic?, and other things seem to work in my pc perfectly....and i rectified that bsod problem, it was because that, i set the paging drive to RAMDISK allocated by the AMD software.

But am still confused about the graphics card or mobo problem..
 
Does Windows find the Slot when you first install, then turn on the computer ??? Test all the other slots as well..(pci slots)
 
yeah, it does..and the graphics card worked for some time... but when i was playing gta 4 ..the system suddenly shut down, and would not power on at all. only when i removed the graphics card from the slot, the pc started. if i plug the power connector to graphics card while it was out of the slot, the fan didn't run, then i decided the graphics card burnt and applied for a replacement.

i dont have any other pcie slots, only one. this is a low end mobo.
 
How long where you playing this game before it turned off ? Sounds like it got HOT, I would get another video card, BUT not one that take power..
Also try to find one that does not have a fan, These kind always have problems from heat..If your PCIe slot is bad, then try a PCI video card..
 
so if it becomes hot, will it not work at all?...does that mean my vcard too might burn out if i play games for more time?....i thought the card manufacturer took into account about all the heat issues...
 
Heat is a computers worst nightmare, from the CPU to the video card..And yes, if your video card gets to hot, it will just go black or lines or fuzzy.
Again, how long where you playing this game????
 
i played it for around 10 mins... previously i played it long enuf for around 4 to 5 hours..... this time only 10 mins i played... the video card manufacturer is ASUS, so i thought it might be good.
 
i dunno about case much...this is coolermaster elite 311 with 1 case fan at back that is 120mm. and it is ATX cabinet i suppose..
