Windows XP installation freezes

Doing a first install on a new build.

XP stops on "setup is starting windows" and just sits there.
I just assembled this machine the specs are listed below

AMD Athlon 64 3500+
1 GIG DDR RAM
120GB SATA HD
K8N Neo4-F
16x dual layer DVD burner
Geforce 7900GT 256MB Video card

Any help would be great

Can you clarify on what part of the installation it freezes? I can't remember whether that message appears at the very beginning or end of installation you see

Ok...this is gonna sound weird. It works now. Before it happened at the end just before it asks to partition the drive. I let it sit there for a good hour and half. Then just now I force restarted (for the 3rd time) and boom, it worked :confused:
