Xeon Processor Compatible with Pentium II Motherboard?

The title pretty much says it all...was wondering if I can install a Pentium Xeon (Slot 1) Processor into a PII Motherboard (Slot 1). I beleive they will fit fine, but will it be compatible? I'm looking to do a major upgrade to my motherboard. Thanks!
 
As far as im aware there wasnt a Slot 1 Xeon. Both the Pentium II and III Xeons were Slot 2.
