ZIP Password cracker

Yo peeps of the online world..

I have an encrypted zip file, its got a darn password on it and I don't know it, I've tried the dictionary crack, but dont have the time to try the "Any Charactor" crack, what Im after is a program that will unzip its contents, prasumably a hack for winzip or winrar or whatever would be sufficiant.

edit: its a RAR file, not .zip

 

One of the best is Passware Password recovery kit.
Zip passwords can be easly recovered, Rar passwords not (would take about a few weeks to recover)

In that case, it might be better to give up. The encryption strength of RAR files is so strong, you would need to leave your pc on for weeks while recovering the password.

 

i think this is quite good, as it gives you an indication of how long it will take to "dictionary" crack the password, but you can also use the brute force crack

 

Cracking of RAR may be realy very long process, even few month!
All depend on password length.
