    Hey buddy,

is it possible to get the following for 400-500 pound?

    Case with PSU
    Motherboard
    CPU ( AMD )
    Graphics Card (somewhere around £90 - £120)
    512-1GB DDR 3200
Hard Drive ( nothing special.. like 40gb)

it needs to run World of Warcraft without any lag.

All good cept I'd have 1 stick of RAM and use the extra cash to get a 9800PRO - the performance difference is great.

a 9700Pro is merely a cut down 9800Pro it still has 8 Pipelines, just a slower clock rate - not much slower either.

Not only that but, if you compare the difference (which is very little) between the performance boost ingames of having the extra clock speed of a 9800Pro compared to a 9700Pro and having or not having Dual Channel DDR Memory, the Dual Channel Memory will give you a much more significant performance boost than the extra clock speed difference between graphics cards.

If you want a better card than a 9700Pro you would start looking at the 9800Pro - but for the cost difference you might as well spend another £10-£25 and get a Nvidia 6600GT, which is the best performance for value card out atm.

    Costs:
    ATI Radeon 9700Pro 128MB (£90 Including vat)
    ATI Radeon 9800Pro 128MB (£115-£130 including vat)
    Nvidia GeForce 6600GT 128MB (£120-£170 including vat)

and the 6600GT is much better than the 2 ATI's listed, although for World Of Warcraft you don't need anything more than a 9700Pro, and a 9700Pro will easily play CS:Source / Half-Life 2 - DOom 3 e.t.c no problem, although not at top graphics ;)

Yes that PSU is fine for those specs, case wise have alook at thse though:

    have alook at these cases:
    http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/copy_of_copy_of_Arctic_Cooling.html
(The T1 at the top of page .. would be more than enough as the PSU is very powerful for a 350W (high ampage))
    or:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Antec_Cases.html - £82.50 including vat and very good 380W PSU.. (this case is amazing, i've just built 3 computers with it and its SO quiet with Very good cooling).

Also, don't forget to buy a HeatSink & Fan (HSF) - As the Athlon Mobiles (called mobiles because they were designed for use in laptops) dont come with a HSF retail :)

Also, they are INCREDIBLY good for overclocking, they come out of the box (stock) at 1.83Ghz i believe, but are more than capable of reaching 2.4-2.7Ghz, although you wouldn't need 2 overclock for WOW.

I highly recommend the Only Zalman Socket A cooler thats on overclockers.co.uk's website - very quiet and very good at cooling.

I also would personally go for the Antec Sonata

with world of warcraft, I'm pretty sure you'll be good with anything above a 9600, but the 9700 is much better for just about the same price.
