Im starting school tomorrow, High School! Woopiee! Well, I hear I'm gonna have a lot of homework and since up starting up drum lessons again, I probably won't have much free time, oh yeah and I got a g/f thanks to the help of Anti-Trend! Thanks for the advice! :good: The only interesting classes I took were Web design, which is the next semester, and Intro to drafting/autocad! I'll try my best to stop by every day for atleast a few minutes! See you later guys! Oh yeah, YOU GUYS ROCK! :waycool: \m/
i'm starting on thursday. nothing special its my gcses. theres not enough stuff to do with IT in my school. compulsory subjects french, core subjects.
last year for me at secondary school. and yeah not enough ICT courses, only a vocational course which teaches in how to use Word and make spreadsheets...hm..like I didn't know that already. French compulsory? harsh ...I dropped French about three years ago. I still had to do it, but I didn't learn to much..eh heh.
I started 2 weeks ago. I have Data Structures in Java, Relational Databases, Web-Client programming (XHTML 1.0 Strict and Javascript), Document managing (it really is about Photoshop) and Media managing (We use, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Sound Forge and Adobe Premiere. The only boring class I have is Relational DB. All we do is models and models and models, for now.....Kinda like algorithms when you start learning programming
I'm taking a major break from school. I should've been able to pass everything fine, but there's the whole motivation thing...I stopped throwing money away on school when I failed a class twice that in a subject I pretty much aced in high school. Entry level general science should've been a breeze. Doing the work would've helped though.
My Uni has already started. Unfortunately, I can't take any CIS subjects until I finish some idotic business courses. Currently doing subjects like Speech, english, literaturec, economics blah blah blah!!!!!. Probably next semester my major would start. I Think I should have taken CS or CE rather than CIS because it is not that much in depth.
High school in the U.S sounds a lot better than in UK. The only thing we'll do in IT classes is ... .... Boring. Theres hardly any web design classes and i' gonna end up in a class of IT illiterates who are gonna be learning to use spreadsheets and databases. God help me.
Yeh I don’t think there are any web design courses you can do a school/college or uni! I think if you do GNVQ at college, you get to do a bit of web design! I would have loved it if they had web design! I did ICT, which I got an 'A' in! That’s what I am doing at uni.
Isn't IT the same as CIS. I mean that both of them are business orientation with little emphasis on hardware and indepth knowledge about programming and graphics. I think all this would come under CS or CE.
This is what comes under ICT... Year One Software Development Techniques I System Analysis & Design Introduction to Communication Introduction to Computer Hardware Year Two Information Systems Development Computer Systems Design Database Systems Software Development Techniques II Communications Systems & Networks Final Year Any four from; Visual Programming Computer Networks Advanced Computer Architecture Software Development Techniques Management of Technology

Just finished first day, I really like it. The school has two levels and is over 1/4 of a mile wide, but they got maps around the school so you can find your way! I think I'm gonna like it, and the babes! hehe! Well, good luck all of you guys!
My speech class is going to be the toughest of all this semester. I hate giving lectures in front of the class.
