Hi all I am having a torrid time finding suitable software for the above to work on a machine i am repairing. I have downloaded codecs and the driver but a yellow warning symbol still appears in device manager. It says "The device cannot start" I have tried several other drivers but each time it says it cannot find newer software than what i already have. Do i need to check motherboard for serial or is there a faster way. This is wrecking my head. The machine is an Iqon and it looks like a Philps multimedia. I 've seen this before with C-Media. What type of s**t hardware is this?
C-Media is fine, but it looks like there's a hardware conflict somewhere. Do you know what the specs are of this system or the particular model you have?
The tag on the motherboard looks to be GA8S1MLH. Hopefully this should lead me to the correct drivers.
