Every o say 10 minutes when im surfing the old net with my 56k modem my AT&T catch a call makes a clicking noise and then everything online orientated just STOPS. It doesnt lag it actually completley stops for about 5 seconds. This is only a big problem when im playing games online. Does anyone know how to fix this problem or at least explain what the catch a call is doing cause knowledge is power!!!!!!
It is for people who have dial up(like me) and dont want to take up the only phone line with the internet so you buy a little "catch a call" and you plug your phone line into that and when your online and people call you it will tell you that someone is calling and you can use its caller id function to determine if u want to answer the phone and if not you just leave it there and stay connected to the internet.
Can you not just plug your phone directly into the socket and miss calls just while you play your games and then put catch a call back on for any other time.
Hmm does your phone offer a divert service? You could always divert the calls to your mobile while playing.
Nvidia Geforce 6200oc AMD Sempron 2500/1.77ghz 1 gig pc2700 Looking for anything else in particular? O and thats a negative on the divert service.
It happens whenever im online. Not only gaming. And no i havent contacted manufactuer. There usually a pain in the butt.
Is there anybody else you know have or had the same problem. I used to have a dial up connection and when ever I pressed the connect button my computer stopped responding for couple of seconds. So, what I believe is this might be that thing.
I dont know anyone with the same problem. I know people with catch a calls but there are different brands.
