Dual-core P4's shouldn't kill competition.

    They may perform alright but when you compair them to AMD's X2 chips the results are usually in AMD's favor, (and mostly for the FX 55 :rolleyes: ). The specs didn't really charge ahead either, lower clock speed, boring old 800MHz fsb, 2MB cache is nice but we've seen that in the 64-bit chips and Pentium M chips so it's no surprise, but then again it is dual-core so multi-tasking will be cool. The price is fine for the most part but the extreme edition is insanly expensive. So as of now, stay with AMD, and you might as well just wait for the FX 57 anyway.
