Sempron 3100+ 512mb 80gb I was thinking about getting this, sticking in some more ram, a gfx card, and a cpu. Would it be worth it?
It includes the CPU already, so if you'd be replacing it, I can't see paying for a $100 CPU that you'd replace. It's not too bad from the looks of it. Another $200 or so would get you a pretty decent video card and the extra 512MB of RAM you're looking at.
I don't know it's pretty old school, you get AGP graphics you're stuck with a socket 754 mobo and Sempron. Sure it's good for the money and the upgrade potential is still decentish but I'd think you'd be better off going with this: http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/cto/computer_customize_components.do PCIe, 3200+ proc, HP has always had good deals.
