Hello, I have a 2004/2005 vintage Dell XPS Gen 2 Pentium 4 running XP Home SP3. I SATA RAID which I recently changed from RAID1 to RAID0. I also temporarily enabled the Primary IDE bus to connect a Seagate drive to to update its firmware. I also removed a eSATA add-in card that I no longer need. The problem is that Windows XP will not fully put computer into S3 sleep as the main fan keeps spinning when it didn't before. So is it in S1 or S3? BIOS is set to S3. Windows Power Config\:

    C:\>powercfg -a
The following sleep states are available on this system: Standby ( S1 S3 ) Hibernate
The following sleep states are not available on this system:
    Standby (S2)

    C:\>powercfg /query

    Field Description Value
    ----------------- -----
    Name Home/Office Desk
    Numerical ID 0
Turn off monitor (AC) After 20 mins
Turn off monitor (DC) After 5 mins
Turn off hard disks (AC) After 20 mins
Turn off hard disks (DC) After 10 mins
System standby (AC) After 20 mins
System standby (DC) After 5 mins
    System hibernates (AC) Never
    System hibernates (DC) Never
    Processor Throttle (AC) Not Supported
    Processor Throttle (DC) Not Supported

Any help greatly appreciated to get this rig back to full S3.

Fixed: 'DUMPPO.EXE admin' indicated Min Sleep State was S1. Forced it to Min Sleep State = S3 by executing 'dumppo.exe admin minsleep=s3 maxsleep=s4'.
