Ok, the system we are dealing with is quite old.. my guess is 10 years. I dont really know all the specs offhand except that it's has

    -probably about 128 mb SDRam
-old [huge] 400 MHZ intel celeron processor
    -300 Watt generic PSU.
    -Asus P28 motherboard
-some old Rage video card i think

Everything in it has never been changed. At least if it has, it's still been like 5 years. My mom uses this computer with windows 98 (no updates and never goes online) for solitaire! To get to the point - my mom complained that the computer kept booting in safe mode, so i switched it back to normal mode after checking the hardware to make sure everything is fine. Once I tried to boot in normal mode, it would freeze before even getting to the login screen. It probably did this for 6 or 7 times before finally, it froze and the screen went black. When i tried to reboot, it wouldn't even post. All the hardware seemed to be running, but no post. I tried each stick of Ram individually and it made no difference. I even switched video cards. Finally, the next morning, i took it completely apart and put it back together. It boots up, but once again, freezes when booting to normal mode. It will, however, still boot into safe mode. Any ideas?

    ***Sorry it's so longl***

Actually, Mandrake comes with like 16 card games including solitaire.
