I just replied to a post a few minutes ago about someone else's new athlon 64 system. I built one about 2 weeks ago in a thermaltake case,Athlon 64 3000+gigabyte board, seagate sata 120gig hd, .....never mind, to painful to list. when my parts came in, i dove right in putting it all together. Friend of mine came over and was watching me, asking about this and that, and ended up buying it from me for 300 more then i had in it. No problem you think....I didnt think "problem" either, just thought i would rebuy everything, this time with a bigger Athlon...Intro the problem, code named "my wife" cleaned out most of my money for some christmas shopping. Being i sold my P4 system to get the rest of the money i needed for the Athlon setup I am now using, .....get ready......drum roll a AMD barton 2600+ on a ASRock mobo with a ata hd......sad days are upon me, these are what i sell as cheap systems to home users.. i bought a box of these boards off ebay a while back, cheap to make cheap systems. :swt: Moral of this story: Dont brag about you new stuff untill you have it loaded with all your software, so it looks less attractive to your friends....and of coarse, a bird in the hand beats a bigger athlon in the bush.
